RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you our next parking engineer who will support the operations in the transition towards digital working methods? We are looking for you who want to contribute to the management, development, and administration of Växjö Municipality's parks and green areas. Here, anything is possible as we listen, collaborate, explore, create value, and improve the quality of life for our residents, businesses, and visitors.

The department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of detailed plan parks and natural areas, as well as holiday decorations for public spaces throughout the municipality. The department's responsibilities also include the municipality's greenhouses for seasonal flowers.

The task of managing the municipality's parks and natural areas includes the operation and maintenance of:

• Seasonal plantings
• Fountains, benches, and fixed installations
• Green area maintenance such as lawns, hedges, perennials, shrubs, etc.
• Park and street trees, as well as park forests
• Play and activity areas
• Gravel areas and gravel paths

As a parking engineer with a focus on digitalization, you are responsible for developing and streamlining the digital working methods and system support of the park operations. You work with the administration and development of geographic information, digital documentation, inventories, and analysis of parks and green areas by acting as a superuser in the park database. The role also involves supporting the operations in digital development projects and contributing to increased quality, sustainability, and data-driven decision-making within park operations. You also support the operations in investment projects by being the link between planning and operations within the department's areas of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have education in civil engineering, for example, landscape architect, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You preferably have experience in park and green area maintenance, as well as a strong interest in digitalization and operational development. Experience with GIS, digital administration systems, data analysis, or smart digital solutions is meritorious.

You are practical, proactive, structured, and have good ability to collaborate and drive development work. You are a good problem solver with a financial mind and a fundamental sense of responsibility, as well as an interest in the assignment.

We expect you to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
